The 2018 Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Colonial Athletic Association for the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The tournament was held March 3–6, 2018 at the North Charleston Coliseum in North Charleston, South Carolina. The College of Charleston Cougars men's basketball, College of Charleston received the CAA's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, NCAA tournament with an 83–76 overtime win over 2017–18 Northeastern Huskies men's basketball team, Northeastern in the championship game. Tournament changes On July 11, 2017, it was announced that the tournament, which was previously played on a Friday–Monday format, would move to a Saturday–Tuesday format beginning with the 2018 tournament. North Charleston Coliseum
The North Charleston Coliseum is a multi-purpose arena in North Charleston, South Carolina. It is part of the North Charleston Convention Center Complex, which also includes a performing arts center and convention center. It is owned by the City of North Charleston and managed by ASM Global. The coliseum opened in 1993, with the performing arts center and convention center opened in 1999. The complex is located on the access road to the Charleston International Airport. It is home to the ECHL's South Carolina Stingrays professional ice hockey team and serves as an alternate home for the Charleston Southern University basketball team. 2017–18 UNC Wilmington Seahawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 UNC Wilmington Seahawks men's basketball team represented the University of North Carolina at Wilmington during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Seahawks were led by first-year head coach C. B. McGrath and played their home games at the Trask Coliseum as members of the Colonial Athletic Association. Justin Jamel Wright-Foreman (born October 27, 1997) is an American professional basketball player for the Westchester Knicks of the NBA G League. He previously played for the Shenzhen Leopards of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). He played college basketball for the Hofstra Pride. Devontae Calvin Cacok ( ; born October 8, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for CSKA Moscow of the VTB United League. He played college basketball for the UNC Wilmington Seahawks, where in the 2017–18 season he led the nation in rebounding. Early life Cacok was born in Chicago, Illinois to a Haitian-American father Harry Cacok and Rose Lewis, and grew up in Riverdale, Georgia, playing football as a youth, mainly on the offensive line. Tramaine Isabell (born June 27, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for Artland Dragons of the ProA. He played college basketball for the Missouri Tigers, Drexel Dragons, and Saint Louis Billikens.
