The 2018 Hungaroring FIA Formula 2 round was a pair of motor races held on 28 and 29 July 2018 at the Hungaroring in Mogyoród, Hungary as part of the FIA Formula 2 Championship. It was the eighth round of the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship and was run in support of the 2018 Hungarian Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying Feature race ;Notes * – Sérgio Sette Câmara had ten seconds added to his race time for causing contact with Antonio Fuoco. * – George Russell started from pit lane due to clutch problem. * – Ralph Boschung set the fastest lap in the race but because he finished outside the top 10, the two bonus points for fastest lap went to Nyck de Vries as he set the fastest lap inside the top 10 finishers. Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit. The first race was held on 24 March 1986, in memory of János Drapál, the first Hungarian who won motorcycle Grand Prix races. The 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship was the fifty-second season of the second-tier of Formula One feeder championship and also second season under the moniker of FIA Formula 2 Championship, a motor racing championship for Formula Two, Formula 2 cars that is sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). It is an open-wheel racing category that serves as the second tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. Maximilian Günther (born 2 July 1997) is a German racing driver currently competing in Formula E for Maserati MSG Racing. Nicholas Daniel Latifi (born 29 June 1995) is a Canadian racing driver who last raced for Williams Racing under the Canadian flag in the 2022 Formula One World Championship. is a Japanese racing driver currently competing in Super Formula for Dandelion Racing. Career Karting In 2010, Fukuzumi began karting, starting his racing career.
