2018 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Season
The 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference men's soccer season was the 65th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are the defending champions of the Atlantic Conference and the North Carolina are the defending champions of the Coastal Conference. Wake Forest are the defending ACC tournament champions. Both Wake Forest and North Carolina successfully defended their titles, while Louisville won the ACC tournament. Changes from 2017 After the 2017 season, Bobby Clark retired as the Notre Dame head coach. He was replaced by Chad Riley, who was hired from Dartmouth. After the 2018 season, Louisville Cardinals coach Ken Lolla resigned after 13 years and a 155–77–39 record with the team. Syracuse Orange Men's Soccer
Syracuse Orange is the NCAA college soccer team for Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. They are a Division I (NCAA), Division I team in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Syracuse Orange, Syracuse fielded its first varsity soccer team in 1920. The program rose to national prominence early in its history, being recognized by the Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association as national champions for Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association, 1936. NC State v Clemson match in 2006 The NC State Wolfpack men's soccer team is a varsity intercollegiate athletic team of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, United States. The team is a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, which is part of the National Collegiate Athletic Association's Division I. NC State's first men's soccer team was fielded in 1950. The team plays its home games at Dail Soccer Stadium in Raleigh. The Pack is coached by George Kiefer. Riggs Field
Riggs Field is a 6,500-capacity soccer-specific stadium located in Clemson, South Carolina. The stadium is home to the Clemson Tigers men's and women's soccer teams. It has also hosted the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship in 1987. The stadium opened for soccer in 1980, and was renovated in 1987, and again in 2013. Previous to this, it hosted a variety of the school's athletic teams, including the football team from 1915 until 1941 and the baseball team from 1916 until 1969. Clemson Tigers Men's Soccer
The Clemson Tigers men's soccer team represent Clemson University in the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I soccer. The program has won 3 NCAA national championships, 14 Atlantic Coast Conference championships, and hosted 3 Hermann Trophy winners ( Bruce Murray in 1987, Wojtek Krakowiak in 1998, and Robbie Robinson in 2019). John Michael Hayden
John Michael Hayden (born April 27, 1984 in Louisville, Kentucky) is a former American soccer player and current head coach of the men's team of the University of Louisville. Playing career Youth and college Hayden attended Trinity High School in Louisville, where he played on the school soccer team. He was a two-time Parade Magazine All-American and was the 2000–01 Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year. Hayden played college soccer at Indiana University. After redshirting his freshman season, Hayden began to see regular time with the Hoosiers in 2003. He helped Indiana win back-to-back NCAA titles in 2003 and 2004 as well as Big Ten Conference Tournament titles in 2003 and 2006. Ken Lolla
Ken Lolla is a soccer coach who was formerly head men's soccer coach at the University of Louisville. He is also a writer and professional speaker. Lolla played collegiate soccer at Duke University and professionally at various US professional soccer teams. He has earned several accolades as both a player and coach. Player Lolla attended St. Rose High School in Belmar, New Jersey where he was a 1980 High School All-American; he also played on the U.S. Olympic Sports Festival teams in 1979 and 1983. Louisville Cardinals Men's Soccer
The Louisville Cardinals men's soccer team represents the University of Louisville in all NCAA Division I men's college soccer competitions. The team presently competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The team currently plays in the soccer-specific Lynn Stadium on the campus. Overview Nearly all of the Cardinals success has come in the last ten years of play under the helm of Ken Lolla.
