Tim Mikkelson
Tim Mikkelson (born 13 August 1986 in Matamata) is a New Zealand rugby union player. Mikkelson plays for the New Zealand national rugby sevens team and is the most capped player in the team's history, surpassing former captain DJ Forbes record when he played his 90th tournament in Los Angeles in 2020. Mikkelson was then named player of the tournament for the 2013 Rugby Sevens World Cup and also received IRB Sevens Player of the Year for the 2012–13 season. 2018 London Sevens
The 2018 London Sevens was the penultimate event of the 2017–18 World Rugby Sevens Series and the eighteenth edition of the London Sevens. The tournament was held at Twickenham Stadium, London on 2–3 June 2018. Fiji won the tournament by defeating South Africa 21–17 in the final. However it was Ireland who stole the show, finishing in third place in their first World Series tournament since 2004. Ireland thus became the first invitational side to reach the semi-finals and the podium of a World Rugby Sevens Series event. Andy Friend
Andrew Friend (born 24 April 1969) is an Australian rugby union coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of Irish province Connacht. He was previously head coach of the Australia Sevens team, the Brumbies in Super Rugby, English club Harlequins, and Canon Eagles and Suntory Sungoliath in the Japanese Top League. Playing career Friend was selected in the Australia Schoolboys rugby team for 1986–87 before going on to play provincial rugby for the ACT Kookaburras. His position of choice was full-back. Club coaching Friend began his coaching career within an Australian Institute of Sport rugby programme in 1995. He held assistant coaching positions at the New South Wales Waratahs and the Brumbies. He was also the Brumbies skills coach under Eddie Jones. In the summer of 2005, Friend joined English Premiership team Harlequins as head coach. Tala Rugby Club
Tala Rugby Club, or simply Tala, is an Argentine rugby union and field hockey club sited in Córdoba Province. The rugby team currently plays in the Torneo de Córdoba, the first division of the Unión Cordobesa de Rugby league system. Tala is the most winning club of Córdoba, with 23 titles to date. History "Tala Rugby Club" was founded in Córdoba on November 11, 1944, by rugby enthusiasts from the General Paz, Juniors and Alta Córdoba districts. The institution was established in a train carriage located on the land of one of the founders. This carriage was used as the first headquarters and became a symbol of the club's bohemian spirit. Tala chose black and white as the club's colours after being offered a set of playing kits which had been originally made for disbanded Club Pampero by a sporting goods store from the city. La Tablada Rugby Club is a rugby union and field hockey club based in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. Founded in 1943 as a social institution, La Tablada started its sports activities in the 1950s. History First named "El Club de la Parroquia de La Tablada" it was originally a social club founded by members of La Tablada parish in Córdoba. Some members of this club were already playing rugby for Córdoba Athletic and decided to form their own team. In 1954, ''Bamba Rugby Club'' was founded in the Vélez Sarsfield district of Córdoba and played its first game against Córdoba Athletic. Marista Rugby Club is a rugby union and field hockey club based in Mendoza, Argentina. The rugby union team is member of the Unión de Rugby de Cuyo and currently plays in Torneo del Oeste league. History Marista Rugby Club was founded in 1961 by Marist reverend Primo Brunato. Founded in Mendoza the club has since moved to La Carrodilla, Luján de Cuyo, just outside the city. Club Pucará is an Argentine sports club based in the Burzaco district of Greater Buenos Aires. Pucará is mostly known for its rugby union and women's field hockey teams.
