2017–18 Washington Wizards Season
The 2017–18 Washington Wizards season was the 57th season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA) and 45th in the Washington, D.C. area. The Wizards played their home games at newly named Capital One Arena. They finished the regular season with a record of 43–39, which clinched the 8th seed. In the playoffs, the Wizards faced the top-seeded Toronto Raptors in the First Round, and lost in 6 games. Until 2021, This season marked the last time the Wizards made the playoffs. Previous season The Wizards finished the 2016–17 season 49–33 to finish in first place in the Southeast Division. Scott Brooks
Scott William Brooks (born July 31, 1965) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is the top assistant coach for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played point guard at San Joaquin Delta College and Texas Christian University before playing his last two years at the University of California, Irvine. Andrew Nicholson (basketball)
Andrew Fabian Nicholson (born December 8, 1989) is a Canadian professional basketball player for the Bay Area Dragons of the EASL. He played college basketball for St. Bonaventure University before being drafted 19th overall in the 2012 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic. High school career Nicholson was a late bloomer when it came to basketball; he did not start playing until he was a high school junior, and due to a broken ankle, he missed the entire summer circuit prior to his senior season. Daniel Ochefu (born December 15, 1993) is an American-born Nigerian professional basketball player for Al Riyadi Club Beirut of the Lebanese Basketball League (LBL). Jodie Meeks
Orestes Jodie Meeks II (born August 21, 1987) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Birmingham Squadron of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the University of Kentucky. On January 13, 2009, he gained national recognition by breaking the Kentucky single-game scoring record with 54 points in a nationally televised game on ESPN against Tennessee. The Guangzhou Loong Lions () are a Chinese professional basketball team based in Guangzhou, Guangdong. They play in the Southern Division of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). The NBA G League, or simply the G League, is the National Basketball Association's (NBA) official List of developmental and minor sports leagues, minor league basketball organization. The league was known as the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) from 2001 to 2005, and the NBA Development League (NBA D-League) from 2005 until 2017. Sidney Rochell Lowe (born January 21, 1960) is an American former basketball player and coach. He is currently an assistant coach for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Lowe played college basketball and served as the head coach at North Carolina State University (NC State). Biography Lowe began his career at DeMatha Catholic High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. Tim Frazier (born November 1, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for AEK Athens of the Greek Basket League and the Basketball Champions League. Frazier played high school basketball for Strake Jesuit College Preparatory and competed at the collegiate level with Penn State as a point guard. He earned various accolades with Penn State, including first-team All-Big Ten and All-Big Ten Defensive team honors, both as a junior in 2012. New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans are an American professional basketball team based in New Orleans. The Pelicans compete in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the league's Western Conference Southwest Division and play their home games at the Smoothie King Center.
