2017–18 UNLV Runnin' Rebels Basketball Team
The 2017–18 UNLV Runnin' Rebels basketball team represented the University of Nevada, Las Vegas during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Runnin' Rebels were led by second-year head coach Marvin Menzies and played their home games at the Thomas & Mack Center in Paradise, Nevada as members of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 20–13, 8–10 in Mountain West play to finish in a tie for seventh place. They defeated Air Force in the first round of the Mountain West tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Nevada. Despite having 20 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament after declining an invite to the CBI Tournament. Marvin Menzies
Marvin Eugene Menzies (born October 15, 1961) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head men's coach at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Menzies was hired on April 26, 2022 after former coach Billy Donlon resigned to become an assistant coach at Clemson. He was previously the associate head coach at Grand Canyon University. He was named to the position at Grand Canyon on April 18, 2019. Menzies joined the Grand Canyon staff after 12 consecutive seasons as a head coach including a three-year run at UNLV and nine seasons at New Mexico State. Menzies was not retained when Bryce Drew was named head coach of Grand Canyon in March 2020. Wabash Valley College (WVC) is a public community college in Mount Carmel, Illinois. It is part of the Illinois Eastern Community College (IECC) district. Amauri Jeremiah Hardy (born April 30, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels and the Oregon Ducks. Brandon Lee McCoy (born June 11, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Sioux Falls Skyforce of the NBA G League. He played college basketball for the UNLV Runnin' Rebels. Idaho Vandals Men's Basketball
The Idaho Vandals men's basketball team represents the University of Idaho, located in Moscow, Idaho, in NCAA Division I basketball competition. They currently compete in the Big Sky Conference. The Vandals are currently coached by Zac Claus and play home games at the new Idaho Central Credit Union Arena. Akron Zips Men's Basketball
The Akron Zips men's basketball team represents the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. The team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference East division. The Zips are currently coached by John Groce. Prior to becoming members of the MAC in 1992, the Zips were members of the Ohio Valley Conference and the Mid-Continent Conference. In 2008, the Zips officially announced they had signed a three-year partnership to be outfitted by the LeBron James line by Nike. They are now the only team with a LJ23/Nike contract.
