2017–18 Queen Of The South F.C. Season
The 2017–18 season is Queen of the South's fifth consecutive season back in the second tier of Scottish football and their fifth season in the Scottish Championship, having been promoted as champions from the Scottish Second Division at the end of the 2012–13 season. Queens will also be competing in the Challenge Cup, League Cup and the Scottish Cup. Summary Queens finished sixth in the Scottish Championship for the second consecutive season. Queens reached the fourth round of the Challenge Cup, losing to The New Saints after a penalty shoot-out 4-3, with no goals scored after extra time. The Doonhamers were knocked out after the first round of the League Cup after the completion of fixtures in Group G that included Albion Rovers, East Kilbride, Hamilton Academical and Stenhousemuir. Central Park, Cowdenbeath
Central Park is a multi-use stadium in Cowdenbeath, Fife, Scotland, used for football and stock car racing. It is situated in the centre of the town, just off the High Street, and has a capacity of . The pitch size is 107 x 66 yards. Central Park has been the home ground of Lowland League team Cowdenbeath F.C. since it opened in 1917. Stock car racing has taken place at the ground since 1970, and takes place on a tarmac racetrack surrounding the football pitch. Central Park was also previously a venue for greyhound racing between 1928 and 1965. History Cowdenbeath F.C. played at Jubilee Park until 1888, and then at North End Park. Andy Stirling (born 5 March 1990 in Paisley, Scotland) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a midfielder for East Kilbride F.C. Stirling has previously played for Stenhousemuir, East Stirlingshire, Kitsap Pumas, Dunfermline Athletic, Stirling Albion, Dumbarton, Queen of the South , Alloa Athletic, Stranraer F.C and Darvel. Stenhousemuir (; gd, Featha Thaigh nan Clach) is a town in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It lies within the Falkirk council area of Scotland. The town is north-northwest of Falkirk and directly adjoins to Larbert in the west, where the nearest rail access is located. The villages of Carron and Carronshore adjoin Stenhousemuir to the east but to a lesser extent.
