2017–18 Plymouth Argyle F.C. Season
The 2017–18 season was Plymouth Argyle's first season back in League One since the 2010–11 season, following their promotion from League Two and their 132nd year in existence. Plymouth Argyle F
Plymouth () is a port city and unitary authority in South West England. It is located on the south coast of Devon, approximately south-west of Exeter and south-west of London. It is bordered by Cornwall to the west and south-west. Plymouth's early history extends to the Bronze Age when a first settlement emerged at Mount Batten. EFL League Two
The English Football League Two (often referred to as League Two for short or Sky Bet League Two for sponsorship purposes, and known as the Football League Two from 2004 until 2016) is the third and lowest division of the English Football League (EFL) and fourth-highest division overall in the English football league system. Remi Matthews
Remi Luke Matthews (born 10 February 1994) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for side Crystal Palace. He began his career with Norwich City, but did not make a senior appearance. He was loaned to Scottish Premiership club Hamilton Academical and several English Football League teams, before joining Bolton Wanderers permanently in January 2019. Exeter
Exeter () is a city in Devon, South West England. It is situated on the River Exe, approximately northeast of Plymouth and southwest of Bristol. Michael John Cooper (born 8 October 1999) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Plymouth Argyle F.C., Plymouth Argyle. Club career Michael Cooper made his professional debut in a EFL League One, League One game away to Blackburn Rovers F.C., Blackburn Rovers aged 18 years and 6 days old. With starting goalkeeper Kyle Letheren going off injured, Cooper came on for the second half, as the game finished 1–1. He was also a key member of the Plymouth Argyle Youth Team who reached the last 16 of the FA Youth Cup, making crucial saves in victories over Manchester City and Burnley in 3rd and 4th rounds of the competition. Llanelli ("St Elli's Parish"; ) is a market town and the largest community in Carmarthenshire and the preserved county of Dyfed, Wales. It is located on the Loughor estuary north-west of Swansea and south-east of the county town, Carmarthen. The town had a population of 25,168 in 2011, estimated in 2019 at 26,225. Luke McCormick (footballer, Born 1983)
Luke Martin McCormick (born 15 August 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper, most notably for Plymouth Argyle. Starting his career at Plymouth Argyle, McCormick was jailed for causing death by dangerous driving in 2008 where he killed two children. He was released from prison on 6 June 2012. He returned to football playing on non-contract terms for Truro City in November 2012, before returning to league football on 31 January 2013 with Oxford United. He was released at the end of the 2012–13 season and, in May 2013, re-signed for Plymouth Argyle on a one-year contract. In July 2014, McCormick was assigned the role of 'club captain' at Plymouth Argyle (although the current captain was Curtis Nelson). Achilles '29 is a football club from Groesbeek, Netherlands, competing in the sixth-tier Eerste Klasse. The club is known for its successes in the Dutch domestic cup, having knocked FC Volendam, Heracles Almelo, RKC Waalwijk, Telstar and MVV Maastricht out of the KNVB Cup.
