2017–18 Kent State Golden Flashes Women's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Kent State Golden Flashes women's basketball team represented Kent State University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Golden Flashes, led by second-year head coach Todd Starkey, played their home games at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center, also known as the MAC Center, as members of the East Division of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). They finished the season 13–19, 5–13 in MAC play, to finish in fourth place in the West Division. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the MAC women's tournament where they lost to Buffalo. Previous season The Flashes finished the 2016–17 regular season with a 19–11 overall record, and 13–5 in MAC play. They won their first East Division title since 2005, clinching a share on March 1 and winning it outright on March 4. Todd Starkey
Todd Starkey (born June 5, 1971) is an American basketball coach who is currently the head women's basketball coach at Kent State University. Career He was previously an assistant coach at Indiana University Bloomington and was also the head women's basketball coach at Lenoir–Rhyne University from 2005 to 2014, where he won a national coach of the year award in 2009. Lincoln High School is a public high school in Gahanna, Ohio, United States. It is in the Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools district. History The current school building opened in 1928 in what is now known as Lincoln Hall. Multiple expansions have been made to the building, most recently with the addition of Clark Hall in 2011. The name 'Lincoln High School' is a result of an early struggle between the city of Gahanna and Jefferson Township. Gahanna ( ) is a city situated in northeast Franklin County, Ohio, United States. It is a suburb of Columbus. The population was 35,726 at the 2020 census. It was founded in 1849. History Gahanna was founded along the Big Walnut Creek in 1849 by John Clark of Ross County from of land that his father, Joseph Clark, had purchased from Governor Worthington in 1814. North Farmington High School is a public high school located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. The school was established in 1961 and, as of the 2019–2020 school year, educates a student body of over 1300. The principal is Joseph Greene. Chartiers Valley High School is a public school that was established in 1959 and is physically located in Collier Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States.
