2017–18 Florida Gators Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Florida Gators men's basketball team represented the University of Florida in the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Gators were led by third year head coach Mike White and played their home games in the Exactech Arena at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center on the university's Gainesville, Florida campus as members of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 21–13, 11–7 in SEC play to finish in third place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the SEC tournament to Arkansas. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated St. Bonaventure in the First Round before losing in the Second Round to Texas Tech. Mike White (basketball)
Michael Emerson White (born March 2, 1977) is an American college basketball coach and former player. He is the head coach of the University of Georgia men's basketball team. Prior to accepting the job at Georgia, White was the head coach of the Florida Gators from 2015 to 2022 and the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs from 2011 to 2015. Playing career White played at Ole Miss from 1995 to 1999. In 1995, White began his four-year collegiate career as a freshman guard for the Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team. He became a starter in the eighth game of his freshman year and remained a starter for the remainder of his four years at Ole Miss. During White's college career, he had 370 assists, the 6th highest total in Ole Miss history. Canyon Barry (born January 7, 1994) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League. He is the son of Lynn Norenberg Barry and Rick Barry, a Basketball Hall of Fame inductee. Akron Zips Men's Basketball
The Akron Zips men's basketball team represents the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. The team currently competes in the Mid-American Conference East division. The Zips are currently coached by John Groce. Prior to becoming members of the MAC in 1992, the Zips were members of the Ohio Valley Conference and the Mid-Continent Conference. In 2008, the Zips officially announced they had signed a three-year partnership to be outfitted by the LeBron James line by Nike. They are now the only team with a LJ23/Nike contract. Devin Ray Robinson (born March 7, 1995) is an American basketball player for Baxi Manresa of the Liga ACB. He played college basketball for the University of Florida. Kasey Hill
Kasey Hill (born December 3, 1993) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Science City Jena of the German ProA. He played college basketball for the Florida Gators. Early life Hill was raised by Jeff and Jennie Simmons after his father was sent to prison. He befriended their son, Kyle, in grade school.
