2017–18 Clemson Tigers Men's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Clemson Tigers men's basketball team represented Clemson University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by eighth-year head coach Brad Brownell, the Tigers played their home games at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 25–10, 11–7 in ACC play to finish in four-way tie for third place. They defeated Boston College in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament before losing in the semifinals to Virginia. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated New Mexico State and Auburn to advance to the Sweet Sixteen where they lost to Kansas. The Tigers 25 wins tied the most in program history and their 11 conference wins were the most in program history at the time. Brad Brownell
Bradley Robert Brownell (born November 15, 1968) is an American college basketball coach and most recently the previous head basketball coach at Clemson University. Prior to coming to Clemson, he held the same position at Wright State and UNC Wilmington. He has most recently coached his 13th season at Clemson, losing in the first round of the NIT tournament to Morehead State. Early life Born in Evansville, Indiana, Brownell played high school basketball at William Henry Harrison High School with current Indiana Pacers assistant of player development and Indiana University player Calbert Cheaney. Brownell graduated from DePauw University in 1991, where he was a member of the basketball team and the Sigma Chi fraternity. He immediately went into coaching after graduating. 2016–17 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Basketball Season
The 2016–17 Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2016, followed by the start of the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season in November. Conference play started in late December 2016 and concluded in March. With a win over Pittsburgh on February 25, 2017, North Carolina clinched at least a share of the ACC regular season championship for the second straight season, the eighth time in the 14 years under head coach Roy Williams, and the 31st time in school history. A loss by Duke later that day gave the Tar Heels the outright regular season championship. The ACC tournament was held from March 7–11, 2-17 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Avry Holmes
Avry Holmes (born February 20, 1994) is an American professional basketball player for the Halcones de Xalapa of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). He was drafted 66th overall by the Santa Cruz Warriors in the 2017 NBA G-League draft. Holmes starred at North Salem High School. He was named second-team all-state as a junior and first-team all-state as a senior. Holmes played two seasons for San Francisco and averaged 12.5 points and 3.1 assists per game as a sophomore. In May 2014, he announced he was transferring to Clemson. He averaged 10 points per game as a junior and started all 31 contests. Jaron Samuel Blossomgame (born September 16, 1993) is an American professional basketball player for AS Monaco of the LNB Pro A and the Euroleague. The Jacksonville State Gamecocks men's basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. Mableton is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. According to the 2020 census, Mableton has a population of 40,834.
