2017–18 Bolton Wanderers F.C. Season
The 2017–18 season is Bolton Wanderers's first season back in the second tier of English football following their immediate return from EFL League One. The season covered the period from 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018. Pre-season On 9 May 2017 the club announced that they would host Stoke City on 29 July, a week before their league campaign commences. Two days later, Reece Wabara, Liam Trotter, Lewis Buxton, Tom Walker and Will Jääskeläinen were all confirmed to be leaving the club at the end of their contracts on 30 June, with Conor Wilkinson being allowed to speak to other clubs. The next week five of the club's young players, including Alex Samizadeh and Jack Earing who had previously played for the first team, were offered third year scholarships. Bolton Wanderers F
Bolton (, locally ) is a large town in Greater Manchester in North West England, formerly a part of Lancashire. A former mill town, Bolton has been a production centre for textiles since Flemish people, Flemish weavers settled in the area in the 14th century, introducing a wool and cotton-weaving tradition. The urbanisation and development of the town largely coincided with the introduction of textile manufacture during the Industrial Revolution. Bolton was a 19th-century boomtown and, at its zenith in 1929, its 216 cotton mills and 26 bleaching and dyeing works made it one of the largest and most productive centres of Spinning (textiles), cotton spinning in the world. Tom Walker (footballer)
Thomas James Walker (born 12 December 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for AFC Fylde. Walker started his career at Bolton Wanderers, and made his first team debut in January 2015. He joined Bury on loan in August 2016, and was released from Bolton at the end of the 2016–17 season. He has since played for Stockport County and F.C. United of Manchester. Career Walker joined the academy at Bolton Wanderers at the age of nine, and made his Football League debut ten years later when manager Neil Lennon sent him on as a late substitute for Eiður Guðjohnsen in a 1–1 draw with Leeds United at the Macron Stadium on 10 January 2015. Fleetwood Town F
Fleetwood is a coastal town in the Borough of Wyre in Lancashire, England, at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 25,939 at the 2011 census. Fleetwood acquired its modern character in the 1830s, when the principal landowner Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, High Sheriff and MP, conceived an ambitious plan to re-develop the town to make it a busy seaport and railway spur. Chorley F
Chorley is a town and the administrative centre of the wider Borough of Chorley in Lancashire, England, north of Wigan, south west of Blackburn, north west of Bolton, south of Preston and north west of Manchester. Wigan ( ) is a large town in Greater Manchester, England, on the River Douglas. The town is midway between the two cities of Manchester, to the south-east, and Liverpool, to the south-west. Andrew Derek Taylor (born 1 August 1986) is an English former professional footballer who last played for Bolton Wanderers. He has previously played for Cardiff City, Middlesbrough, Bradford City, Watford and Wigan Athletic. Jem Karacan
Jem Paul Karacan (born 21 February 1989) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Northern Premier League club Radcliffe. Prior to his move to Bolton he played for Turkish club Galatasaray and Reading, as well as various loan spells. He has played internationally for the Turkish youth team, and has captained the U-21 side. Early life Karacan was born in Catford, London to a Turkish father and an English mother. Mark Nicholas Davies (born 18 February 1988) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Wolverhampton Wanderers Born in Willenhall, West Midlands, Davies was a former student of Pool Hayes Community School in Willenhall. He joined Wolverhampton Wanderers Youth Academy at the age of nine. He signed his first professional contract at Wolves in February 2005, aged 17. Dean Moxey
Dean William Moxey (born 14 January 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays for National League club Torquay United as a full-back. Moxey is a versatile player, naturally a left-back but also comfortable as a centre-back, left winger, left wing-back or left-sided striker. He is a product of the Exeter City academy and has previously played for Derby County, Crystal Palace and Bolton Wanderers. Lawrie Wilson
Lawrie Robert Wilson (born 11 September 1987) is an English footballer who plays as a right-back for club Billericay Town. Wilson started his career at Charlton Athletic, and played regularly for the club's under-18 and reserve teams until he was released in 2006. He joined Colchester United ahead of the 2006–07 season, but did not make any first-team appearances during his one-year stay with the club. During his time at Colchester, he was loaned out to Conference South club Welling United, making four appearances during his one-month loan spell.
