The 2017–18 season was Blackpool F.C.'s 109th season in the Football League, and their first season back in League One following promotion from the 2016–17 Football League Two Play-Offs, against Exeter City F.C., Exeter. Blackpool F
Blackpool is a seaside resort in Lancashire, England. Located on the northwest coast of England, it is the main settlement within the borough also called Blackpool. The town is by the Irish Sea, between the Ribble and Wyre rivers, and is north of Liverpool and northwest of Manchester. At the 2011 census, the unitary authority of Blackpool had an estimated population of 139,720 while the urban settlement had a population of 147,663, making it the most populous settlement in Lancashire, and the fifth-most populous in North West England after Manchester, Liverpool, Bolton and Warrington. Joseph Patrick Lumley (born 15 February 1995) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for EFL Championship club Southampton. Walsall (, or ; locally ) is a market town and administrative centre in the West Midlands County, England. Historically part of Staffordshire, it is located north-west of Birmingham, east of Wolverhampton and from Lichfield. Andrew Taylor (born 14 March 1986) is an English former footballer who played as a defender. Early life Born in Blackburn, Lancashire, Taylor attended St Paul's RC Primary and St Bede's RC High School in Blackburn and is a product of Blackburn Rovers Youth Academy. Having represented England at both under-19 and under-20 level. Taylor then turned professional in 2004 and Taylor signed a new three-year deal with Blackburn Rovers in September 2005. Crewe
Crewe () is a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England. Kelvin Mellor (born 25 January 1991) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for club Crewe Alexandra. Early life Mellor was born in Crewe in Cheshire.
