2017–18 Binghamton Bearcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2017–18 Binghamton Bearcats women's basketball team represented Binghamton University during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bearcats, led by fourth year head coach Linda Cimino, played their home games at Binghamton University Events Center as members of the America East Conference. They finished the season 20–12, 10–6 in the America East. They earned a bye through the quarterfinals in the conference tournament, where they lost to Hartford in overtime. They received an invitation to play in the 2018 WBI, beating Youngstown State before losing to Yale in the quarterfinals. On May 18, Cimino resigns to become a new head coach at St. Francis Brooklyn. Linda Cimino
Linda Cimino is an American basketball coach and former player. She was the final women's basketball head coach at St. Francis College from 2018–23. Cimino was born in Lincoln, Rhode Island and is an alumnus of North Smithfield High School and Adelphi University. Cimino began her head coaching career at Queensborough Community College in 2001 and was the 13th and last head coach of the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers women's basketball, St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers women's program. She had previously coached at Caldwell and Binghamton Universities. Georgetown Hoyas Women's Basketball
The Georgetown Hoyas women's basketball team is women's basketball program in the NCAA Division I Big East Conference. They are currently coached by James Howard, the program's tenth coach, now in his second year. The team was first formed in 1970, and joined the Big East in 1983. They play their home games on campus at McDonough Gymnasium. The women's teams have been invited to the NCAA tournament four times, reaching the Sweet Sixteen in 1993 and 2011, and the second round in 2010 and 2012.
