2017 Taupo TRS Round
The 2017 Taupo TRS round was the fourth round of the 2017 Toyota Racing Series. The event was held at the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park, in TaupĹŤ, New Zealand from 4 to 5 February 2017. Report Practice Thomas Randle continued his front-running form by achieving the fastest time in four out of the five practice sessions during the weekend. The only other driver to top the timesheets during practice was Marcus Armstrong, who went fastest in Practice Four. Race 1 Qualifying Armstrong grabbed his first Toyota Racing Series pole position with a time of 1:23.383, with Jehan Daruvala in second and Brendon Leitch in third. Race A strong start followed by fast, consistent race pace meant that Leitch would grab his first race win of the year. Armstrong finished second and Daruvala third. Luis Leeds
Luis William Mahendra Leeds (born 6 March 2000) is an Australian-Indonesian racing driver currently competing in the Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Australia Championship for Supercars Championship team 23Red Racing. Leeds served as a member of the Red Bull Junior Team in 2016 and is now a development driver for 23Red Racing. Career summary Formula 4 Leeds finished 2015 Australian Formula 4 Championship on the sixth place, competing for Dream Motorsport. In 2016 he became a member of the Red Bull Junior Team and moved to the United Kingdom to compete in F4 British Championship with TRS Arden Junior Racing Team. The 2017 New Zealand Grand Prix event for open wheel racing cars was held at Circuit Chris Amon near Feilding on 12 February 2017. It was the sixty-second New Zealand Grand Prix and fielded Toyota Racing Series cars. The event was also the third race of the fifth round of the 2017 Toyota Racing Series, the final race of the series. 2017 Hampton Downs TRS Round
The 2017 Hampton Downs TRS round was the third round of the 2017 Toyota Racing Series. The event was held at Hampton Downs Motorsport Park, in North Waikato, New Zealand from 28 to 29 January 2017. Background Heading into the weekend, Richard Verschoor leads the championship by an extensive margin. Strong, consistent performances from the young Dutchman meant he was the man to beat. Other strong performances in the field included the likes of Thomas Randle, who was a constant front runner in the first two rounds of the championship. Taupo International Motorsport Park and Events Centre (previously known as the Bruce McLaren Motorsport Park) is a motorsports circuit located in Broadlands Road, Taupo, New Zealand.
