2017 Spengler Cup
The 2017 Spengler Cup was a men's ice hockey competition being held in Davos, Switzerland from December 26 to December 31, 2017. All matches were being played at HC Davos's home known as Vaillant Arena. Six competing teams were split into two groups of three (in the round-robin series). The two groups, named Torriani and Cattini, are named after legendary Swiss hockey players Richard 'Bibi' Torriani and the Cattini brothers, Hans and Ferdinand. Leonardo Genoni
Leonardo Genoni (born 28 August 1987) is a Swiss professional ice hockey goaltender who is currently playing for EV Zug of the National League (NL). Playing career Genoni made his professional debut with the GCK Lions in the Swiss League as a prospect to the ZSC Lions during the 2004–05 season. He went on to play 3 seasons in the organization before moving to HC Davos for the 2007–08 season. Genoni played 9 seasons for Davos becoming one of the best goaltender in the National League. On 1 October 2015 Genoni signed a three-year contract with SC Bern worth CHF 1.8 million for the 2016/17 season and through the 2018–19 season. Miks Indrašis (born 30 September 1990) is a Latvian professional ice hockey forward who is currently playing with Schwenninger Wild Wings in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Playing career Junior Indrašis began playing hockey in Latvian minor and youth leagues. During this period he played for Liepājas Metalurgs youth team and SK LSPA/Riga. During the 2009–10 season, he played with Dinamo Juniors Riga. When in 2010 HK Rīga a Minor Hockey League affiliate of Dinamo Rīga was founded, the team was assembled mostly from Dinamo Juniors Riga players. Lino Martschini
Lino Martschini (born 21 January 1993) is a Swiss professional ice hockey forward for EV Zug of the National League (NL) and the Swiss national team. He played his junior hockey for the Peterborough Petes of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Playing career Junior Prior to coming to Peterborough, Ontario, to play for the Peterborough Petes, Martschini was a successful player with many teams in Zug, playing in Top Mini, Elite Novizen, Elite Jr. A, and Top Junioren leagues with teams varying from under-15 to under-20. He was drafted 142nd overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
