2017 Russian Circuit Racing Series
The 2017 SMP Russian Circuit Racing Series was the fourth season of the Russian Circuit Racing Series, organized by SMP Racing. It was the third season with TCR class cars, competing alongside the Super 2000 TC2 cars. Dmitry Bragin became TCR Russia champion for a second year in a row, Mikhail Mityaev won Russian Cup in Super-Production category. Denis Bulatov became Champion of Russia in Touring-Light, and Aidar Nuriev won Russian Cup in National category. Maxim Kornilkov become the winner of National-Junior category. Irek Minnakhmetov became first ever SMP RCRS Trophy winner. Teams and drivers All teams and drivers were Russian-registered except Vladislav Seredenko from Ukraine who performs in the National Junior class. Yokohama was the official tyre supplier. Touring / TCR Russian Touring Car Championship In the Trophy class, pilots who are not prize-winners of foreign racing series and who are not prize-winners of the Russian Championship participate. The Lada Granta (russian: Ла́да Гра́нта) is a subcompact car developed by Russian automaker AvtoVAZ in collaboration with Renault, based on the Lada Kalina platform. Matevos "Matos" Isaakyan (russian: Матевос "Матос" Исаакян; born 17 April 1998) is a Russian racing driver. He is a current member of the SMP Racing driver programme. Career Karting Born in Moscow, Isaakyan began karting in his native Russia in 2010, finishing fifth in the Russian Super Mini Championship. Vladimir Atoev (born 22 January 1999) is a Russian racing driver. Career Karting Prior to his single-seater career, Atoev enjoyed a successful period in karting, winning the Russian Karting Championship Supermini class in 2009 and finishing second in the KF3 class two years later. Outside of his native Russia, he finished sixth in the KF3 WSK Final Cup in 2012. Formula 4 Atoev made his single-seater debut in 2014, racing in the French F4 Championship. He finished the season in eleventh place, with a best race result of fourth achieved at both Nogaro and Paul Ricard. Ildar Ilhamovich Rakhmatullin (born 6 March 1986) is a Russian racing driver currently competing in the Russian Circuit Racing Series.
