The 2017 Chicago Fire season was the club's 22nd year of existence, as well as their 20th season in Major League Soccer, the top-flight of American soccer. Career Youth and College A team captain during his senior season, Lampson was the two-time MVP at St. Charles Preparatory School in 2006 and 2007, and was named to the 2007 All-Central Catholic League Team.
