2017 Baku Formula 2 Round
The 2017 Baku FIA Formula 2 round was a pair of motor races held on 23 and 25 June 2017 at the Baku City Circuit in Baku, Azerbaijan as part of the FIA Formula 2 Championship. It was the fourth round of the 2017 FIA Formula 2 Championship and was run in support of the 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Classifications Qualifying Feature Race The race was scheduled for 29 laps; however, an incident in lap 26 brought out the red flag and the race was stopped. The result was counted back at the end of lap 24. Ralph Boschung did not make any pit stop but kept his 8th place since the race was stopped by red flag rather than finished. Baku City Circuit
The Baku City Circuit ( az, Bakı Şəhər Halqası) is a motor racing street circuit located in Baku, Azerbaijan constructed near Baku Boulevard. A lap of the circuit is , making it the third-longest circuit on the Formula One calendar (after Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps and Jeddah Street Circuit). The inaugural Formula One race at the circuit was the 2016 European Grand Prix and its support events. A year later, in 2017, the circuit held the inaugural Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Russian Time (previously known as RT Russian Time) was a Russian motor racing team founded by Igor Mazepa to compete in the GP2 Series, a category of open-wheel racing cars designed to prepare drivers for Formula One. From 2015 to 2018, the team was managed by Virtuosi Racing. Racing history GP2 Series Russian Time was established by former Russian racing driver and manager Igor Mazepa and Motopark Academy team principal Timo Rumpfkeil in 2013. Jordan King (born 26 February 1994 in Warwick) is a British racing driver from Harbury, Warwickshire who last competed in the 2019–20 FIA World Endurance Championship. He is currently a reserve and development driver for the Mahindra Formula E Team. Gustav Malja (born 4 November 1995) is a Swedish racing driver. Career Karting Born in Malmö, Sweden, Malja began his karting career in Formula Micro in 2006, winning the Gunnar Nilsson Memorial trophy the following year. By 2009 he had progressed up to the KF3 category, where he won the Swedish Championship and Gothenburg Grand Prix. Sérgio Sette Câmara Filho (born 23 May 1998) is a Brazilian racing driver who currently drives for NIO 333 FE Team in Formula E. Campos Racing is a Spanish motor racing team, founded by former Formula One driver Adrián Campos. The team has been successful in Formula Three and the GP2 Series. History After retiring from racing, Campos formed his own team at the end of 1997, under the name Campos Motorsport. In 1998 the team began by competing in the new Open Fortuna by Nissan, with Marc Gené and Antonio García as drivers. Robert Vișoiu (born 10 February 1996 in Pitești) is a former racing driver from Romania. Career Karting At the age of six, Vișoiu first sat behind the wheel of a kart, the beginning of his karting career. Oliver Rowland (born 10 August 1992) is a British racing driver. He is currently competing full-time in Formula E driving for Mahindra Racing.
