2017 Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship
The 2017 Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship was the 2nd edition of the Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Thailand Volleyball Association (TVA). It was held in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand from 13 to 21 May 2017. The tournament will serve as the Asian qualifiers for the 2017 FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship held in Ljubljana and Maribor, Slovenia with the top two ranked teams qualifying for the world championship. The matches was played in only one stadium in Nakhon Ratchasima: The Mall Nakhon Ratchasima. It was the first time that Thailand and Nakhon Ratchasima had hosted the tournament. As hosts, Thailand automatically participated for the tournament, while the remaining 12 teams (with the withdrawn of South Korea, China, and Philippines). Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship
The Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship is an international volleyball competition in Asia and Oceania contested by the under 23 Women's national teams of the members of Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), the sport's continent governing body. The first championship was held in Pasig, Philippines, in 2015. The current champion is China women's national under-23 volleyball team, China, which won the second title at the 2019 Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship, 2019 tournament. The tournament have been won by two national teams: China women's national under-23 volleyball team, China with two titles and Japan women's national under-23 volleyball team, Japan with one title. The 2019 Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship, 2019 Championship took place in Hà Nội, Vietnam, from 13 to 21 July. The 2021 Championship was cancelled due to COVID-19 pandemic. An amphoe (sometimes also ''amphur'', th, อำเภอ, )—usually translated as "district"—is the second level administrative subdivision of Thailand. Groups of ''amphoe'' or districts make up the provinces, and are analogous to counties. The chief district officer is ''Nai Amphoe'' (). Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima ( th, เมืองนครราชสีมา, ) is one of 32 districts of Nakhon Ratchasima province, northeastern Thailand. The 2015 Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship was held on 1 to 9 May 2015 in Pasig, Philippines. It was the inaugural edition of the tournament. The tournament served as the Asian qualifiers for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship held in Ankara, Turkey which the top two ranked teams qualified for the world championship. China won the tournament and Liu Yanhan was the most valuable player. The tournament was organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation, in association with Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc.
