2017 America East Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2017 America East men's basketball tournament is the postseason men's basketball tournament for the America East Conference, which was held on March 1, 6, and 11, 2017. All games of the tournament were played on campus sites hosted by the higher-seeded school. Vermont, the No. 1 seed in the tournament defeated Albany in the championship game to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Seeds Only eight of the nine conference teams were eligible for the tournament (UMass Lowell was ineligible due to its transition to Division I). The teams were seeded by record in conference, with a tiebreaker system to seed teams with identical conference records. 16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and Industrial music, industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller (band), Painkiller, Last Exit (free jazz band), Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA. The 2017 America East women's basketball tournament was the postseason women's basketball tournament for the America East Conference. It was held March 4 through 10, 2017. The quarterfinals and semifinals were held at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, ME, with the finals being held at the SEFCU Arena in Albany, NY. John Becker (basketball)
John Becker (born April 17, 1968) is an American college basketball coach, currently the head coach of the Vermont Catamounts men's basketball, Vermont Catamounts of the America East Conference. He replaced Mike Lonergan, who left to become the coach at George Washington University. On January 5, 2023, Becker became the winningest coach in Vermont history, with a 74–64 win over Bryant Bulldogs, Bryant, surpassing Tom Brennan. Coaching career Gallaudet/Catholic University Becker's college coaching career began in 1994 when he became an assistant at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C.
