2016–17 Women's National Cricket League Season
The 2016–17 Women's National Cricket League season was the 21st season of the Women's National Cricket League, the women's domestic limited overs cricket competition in Australia. The tournament started on 13 October 2016 and finished on 3 December 2016. Defending champions South Australian Scorpions finished fourth. New South Wales Breakers won the tournament for the 18th time after finishing second on the ladder and beating Queensland Fire in the final. Meg Lanning was named player of the tournament. Cricket Australia (CA), formerly known as the Australian Cricket Board (ACB), is the governing body for professional and amateur cricket in Australia. Brooke Hepburn
Brooke Louise Hepburn (born 19 April 1990) is an Australian former cricketer who played for Tasmanian Tigers (women's cricket), Tasmanian Tigers and Hobart Hurricanes (WBBL), Hobart Hurricanes. Born in Launceston, Tasmania, Launceston, Hepburn did not begin playing cricket until she was 19 years old. Just one year later, the Tasmanian Roar gave her a Rookie contract for the 2010–11 season. Heather Louise Graham (born 5 October 1996) is an Australian cricketer who plays for Tasmanian Tigers (women's cricket), Tasmania, Hobart Hurricanes (WBBL), Hobart Hurricanes, Northern Superchargers and Mumbai Indians (WPL), Mumbai Indians. Natasha Eleni Farrant (born 29 May 1996) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Kent Women cricket team, Kent, South East Stars, Oval Invincibles and England women's cricket team, England. Kris Britt
Kris Lynsey Britt (born 13 April 1984) is an Australian former cricketer. She debuted for the Australian women's cricket team in 2002 in the second test against England in Sydney, becoming the 144th woman to play Test cricket for Australia. She played 17 One Day Internationals and two Twenty20 Internationals for the Australian women's team, and was the 96th woman to play One Day International cricket for Australia. Ashleigh Katherine Gardner (born 15 April 1997) is an Australian cricketer who currently plays for the national women's team as an all-rounder. Alyssa Jean Healy (born 24 March 1990) is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Australian women's national team and New South Wales in domestic cricket, as well as the Sydney Sixers in the WBBL. Jessica Louise Jonassen (born 5 November 1992) is an Australian cricketer from Rockhampton, Queensland.
