2016–17 Wisconsin Badgers Women's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Wisconsin Badgers women's basketball team represented University of Wisconsin–Madison during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Badgers, led by first-year head coach Jonathan Tsipis, played their home games at the Kohl Center and were members of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 9–22, 3–13 in Big Ten play to finish in a four-way for 11th place. They defeated Rutgers in the first round of the Big Ten women's tournament before losing to Michigan State. Jonathan Tsipis
Jonathan Peter Tsipis (born November 7, 1972) is the former head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers women's basketball team. Career He was previously the head coach of the George Washington University women's basketball team, where he had an overall record of 92–38 in four years. During the 2014–15 season he led George Washington to an overall record of 29–4 and A10 regular season and tournament championships. He was named the A10 Coach of the Year at the end of the 2014–2015 regular season. Montini Catholic High School (often shortened to Montini) is a co-educational, college preparatory, high school, run by the La Sallian educational institutions, Christian Brothers in Lombard, Illinois. Bellwood is a village in Proviso Township, Cook County, Illinois, United States. Medford is a city in Taylor County, in north-central Wisconsin, United States. The population was 4,349 at the 2020 census. The city is located mostly within the boundaries of the Town of Medford. It is the county seat of Taylor County. History Medford is located on historic Ojibwe forest land acquired by the United States in the 1837 Treaty of St. Peters.
