2016–17 UTEP Miners Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–16 UTEP Miners basketball team represented the University of Texas at El Paso during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Miners, led by seventh-year head coach Tim Floyd, played their home games at the Don Haskins Center as members of Conference USA. They finished the season 15–17, 12–6 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for third place. In the C-USA tournament, they defeated Rice in the quarterfinals before losing to top-seeded Middle Tennessee in the semifinals. UTEP averaged 6,400 fans per game, ranking 83rd nationally. Previous season The Miners finished the 2015–16 season 19–14, 10–8 in C-USA play to finish in sixth place. Tim Floyd
Tim Floyd (born February 25, 1954) is a former American college basketball coach, most recently the head coach at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). He was formerly the head coach of several teams in the NCAA and the NBA. Floyd is also known as the coach of the Chicago Bulls for four seasons. He announced his retirement from coaching after the UTEP game on November 27, 2017. Personal life Born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Floyd is a 1977 graduate of Louisiana Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education. He originally was a walk-on player at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, but he transferred to Louisiana Tech in Ruston and was a scholarship player there. His father, who was also a coach, died when Floyd was 18. Floyd and wife Beverly have one daughter, Shannon. The 2015–16 Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball team represented Marshall University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Thundering Herd, led by second year head coach Dan D'Antoni, played their home games at the Cam Henderson Center and were members of Conference USA. They finished the season 17–16, 12–6 in C-USA play to finish in a three-way tie for third place. They defeated UTEP in the quarterfinals of the C-USA tournament to advance to the semifinals where they lost to Middle Tennessee. Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball
The Oregon Ducks men's basketball team is an intercollegiate basketball program that competes in the NCAA Division I and is a member of the Pac-12 Conference, representing the University of Oregon. The Ducks play their home games at Matthew Knight Arena, which has a capacity of 12,364. Then coached by Howard Hobson, Oregon won the first NCAA men's basketball national championship in 1939. Findlay Prep
Findlay Prep is a former high school basketball program located in Henderson, Nevada. Kennesaw, Georgia
Kennesaw is a suburban city northwest of Atlanta in Cobb County, Georgia, United States, located within the greater Atlanta metropolitan area.
