2016–17 St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers men's basketball team represented St. Francis College during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Terrier's home games were played at the Generoso Pope Athletic Complex. The team has been a member of the Northeast Conference since 1981. They were coached by Glenn Braica who was in his seventh year at the helm of the Terriers. They finished the season 4–27, 2–16 in NEC play to finish in last place. It was the first time since the 1993–94 season that the Terriers finished ranked 10th in the NEC. It also represents the second consecutive losing season for the Terriers and the first season in Braica's tenure that the Terriers missed the NEC postseason. Glenn Braica
Glenn Braica (born September 16, 1964) is the men's basketball head coach at St. Francis College since 2010. Braica was born in Brooklyn, New York and is an alumnus of Bishop Ford High School and Queens College. Braica began his head coaching career at St. Francis College in 2010 and had 22 years of coaching experience at the time split between New York City Tech, St. Francis and St. John's as an assistant coach. Biography Braica attended St. Agnes High School from 1980–82 and Bishop Ford Central Catholic High School, Bishop Ford in Brooklyn from 1982–84. Braica went on to Queens College, City University of New York, Queens College and played for the Knights from 1984–88 as a point guard. At Queens College, Braica met Norm Roberts and became great friends; that would later lead to Roberts hiring Braica as his assistant at St. John's University (New York), St. John's University. Hillcrest Heights is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Prince George's County, Maryland, United States. The population was 15,793 at the 2020 census. Satria Muda Pertamina is an Indonesian basketball team seeing action through the Perbasi's highest division since 1996. The Reading Rockets are an English semi-professional basketball club based in the town of Reading, England. Founded in 1997, the Rockets compete in NBL Division 1, the second tier of the British basketball system. Chris Hooper (born December 24, 1991) is an American basketball player from Harlem, New York playing in the La Liga Argentina League. Early life Hooper attended Arturo A. Schomburg Satellite Academy in the Bronx. During his senior year at Satellite Academy, he averaged 12.3 points and 11.3 rebounds. After graduating from high school, he played one season at both Kaskaskia College in Illinois and at Odessa College in Texas. While at Kaskaskia, Hooper averaged 11.7 points and 9.0 rebounds per game and helped lead the squad to a 20–11 record. At Odessa, he contributed 6.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. South Shore High School (Brooklyn)
South Shore High School is one of the two defunct New York City public high schools in Canarsie, Brooklyn, the other being Canarsie High School. Opened in 1970, it had a capacity of 4000 students in grades nine through twelve. At the peak of enrollment, during the 1972-74 school years, the comprehensive high school had a student population of 6,800, making South Shore the second largest high school in the United States at the time.
