2016–17 Sloboda Užice Season
The 2016–17 season will be Sloboda Užice's 3rd consecutive season in the Serbian First League. Originally the club was meant to be playing in the Serbian League West Serbian League West ( sr, Српска лига Запад, Srpska liga Zapad) is one of four sections of the Serbian League, the third national tier. The other three sections are Serbian League Belgrade, Serbian League East and Serbian League Voj ... with finishing 13th the previous season, but due to the exclusion of Sloga PM the club kept their First League status. Fudbalski klub Sloboda Užice () is a Serbian professional football club from Užice. They are currently playing in the Serbian First League, the second tier of Serbian football. History Early years (1920s and 1930s) The club was founded through the initiative of Užice's workers in 1925, as part of the sports society named URSK Sloboda (''Užički radnički sportski klub Sloboda'', English: Užice's worker's sport klub Sloboda). The founders were communist activists Miloš Marković (who was two years earlier the founder of Radnički Niš) and Josip Šiber. From the very beginning, football had a priority over other sports in the newly founded sports society. Aleksandar Petrović ( sr-Cyrl, Александар Петровић; born February 8, 1985) is a Serbian former Association football, footballer. Career Born in Belgrade, Petrović began his career in his native country, Serbia when he played for FK BASK. He played three seasons with BASK. During the 2006/07 season, he moved to FK Mladost Lučani and later on played two seasons with Mladost Lučani. He later on moved to FK Rad in the Serbian SuperLiga. During the 2010/11 season, he moved to FK Sloboda Point Sevojno. For the 2011 season, he played with Serbian club, FK Novi Pazar in the Serbian SuperLiga. Fk Javor Matis () is a professional football club based in Ivanjica, Serbia. They compete in the Serbian SuperLiga, the top tier of the national league system. FK Banat Zrenjanin () was a football club based in Zrenjanin, Vojvodina, Serbia. History The club was founded in June 2006 by the merger of Budućnost Banatski Dvor and Proleter Zrenjanin.
