The 2016–17 season was Rotherham United F.C., Rotherham United's 92nd season in their existence and their third consecutive season in the Football League Championship, Championship. In the previous season, Rotherham secured their place in the championship with a 21st-placed finish, 9 points above the relegation zone. Rotherham United F
Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. The River Don then flows through the town centre. It is the main settlement of the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham. Rotherham is also the third largest settlement in South Yorkshire after Sheffield and Doncaster, which it is located between. Traditional industries included glass making and flour milling. Richard Wood (footballer)
Richard Mark Wood (born 5 July 1985) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for EFL League Two club Doncaster Rovers. Career Sheffield Wednesday Born in Ossett, West Yorkshire, Wood was a Leeds United fan and had a season ticket at Leeds, however Wood came up through the ranks at Sheffield Wednesday and started to support The Owls instead. He broke into the senior side at the end of the 2002–03 season and capped his superb performance with a goal on his full debut against Burnley. Kirk Broadfoot
Kirk John Broadfoot (born 8 August 1984) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a defender for Lowland League club Open Goal Broomhill. Broadfoot started his senior career with St Mirren and he helped the club gain promotion to the Scottish Premier League by winning the 2005–06 Scottish First Division. He moved to Rangers as a free agent in 2007 and enjoyed success with the Ibrox club until he left Rangers by mutual consent in August 2012. Broadfoot then joined English club Blackpool, but was released by them in May 2014, moving on to Rotherham. Joseph William Mattock (born 15 May 1990) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back for EFL League Two club Harrogate Town. Mattock is a graduate of the Leicester City youth academy and has also represented England youth teams at nearly every level. Stephen Michael David Kelly (born 6 September 1983) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a right back. He was part of the team that secured the Republic of Ireland's qualification for UEFA Euro 2012. He is currently the First-Team Goalkeeping Coach for League One club Milton Keynes Dons. Lee Michael John Camp (born 22 August 1984) is a professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper most recently for club Wrexham.
