The 2016–17 season was Plymouth Argyle F.C., Plymouth Argyle's sixth consecutive season in EFL League Two, League Two and their 131st year in existence. Plymouth Argyle F
Plymouth () is a port city and unitary authority in South West England. It is located on the south coast of Devon, approximately south-west of Exeter and south-west of London. It is bordered by Cornwall to the west and south-west. Plymouth's early history extends to the Bronze Age when a first settlement emerged at Mount Batten. Tavistock
Tavistock ( ) is an ancient stannary and market town within West Devon, England. It is situated on the River Tavy from which its name derives. At the 2011 census the three electoral wards (North, South and South West) had a population of 13,028. It traces its recorded history back to at least 961 when Tavistock Abbey, whose ruins lie in the centre of the town, was founded. Its most famous son is Sir Francis Drake. Louis John Rooney (born 28 September 1996) is a professional footballer who currently plays as a striker for Torpoint Athletic. Career Plymouth Argyle Born in Plymouth, England, Rooney joined the Plymouth Argyle academy at age 9 and progressed throughout the ranks. Glynn () is a small village and civil parish in the Mid and East Antrim Borough Council area of County Antrim, Northern Ireland. It lies a short distance south of Larne, on the shore of Larne Lough. St Blazey
St Blazey ( kw, Lanndreth) is a small town in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. St Blaise is the civil parish in which St Blazey is situated; the name St Blaise is also used by the town council. Ben Purrington (born 20 May 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left back for Ross County. Career Plymouth Argyle Purrington was born in Exeter, Devon. He joined the Plymouth Argyle youth academy in September 2005 when he was nine. He signed his first professional contract in May 2013. Seven months later, Purrington made his first-team debut in a League Two match against Oxford United, and scored his first senior goal in his fourth match; an FA Cup tie with Port Vale. Jimmy Spencer (footballer)
James Christopher Spencer (born 13 December 1991) is an English professional footballer who plays for Curzon Ashton. A product of the Huddersfield Town academy, he spent much of his career with the club away on loan and later played for English Football League clubs Notts County, Cambridge United, Plymouth Argyle and Mansfield Town. Career Huddersfield Town Spencer originally joined the academy as a seven-year-old in 1998 and progressed through the club's youth system. David Goodwillie
David Goodwillie (born 28 March 1989) is a Scottish professional football player. Goodwillie came through the Dundee United youth system and he won the SPFA and SFWA Young Player of the Year awards for the 2010–11 season. His performances with United earned him selection for the Scotland national team and a £2 million move to Blackburn Rovers, who were then in the English Premier League. He was loaned to Crystal Palace, Dundee United and Blackpool, and released by Blackburn in 2014, after which he signed with Aberdeen. After a loan spell with Ross County, Goodwillie moved to Plymouth Argyle in 2016. He left Plymouth in January 2017. Jordan Michael Slew (born 7 September 1992) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for club FC Halifax Town. Born in Sheffield, Slew began his footballing career at Sheffield United's academy in 2006, joining the club at the age of 11. After making his first-team debut in 2010, he attracted the interest of a number of clubs including Blackburn Rovers, for whom he signed in September 2011 for a £1.1 million fee.
