2016–17 Montana State Bobcats Women's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 Montana State Bobcats women's basketball team represented Montana State University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Bobcats, led by eleventh year head coach Tricia Binford, played their home games at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse and are members of the Big Sky Conference. The Bobcats won the Big Sky Conference regular season and tournament championships, earning their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1993. They finished the season 25–7, 15–3 in Big Sky play. They lost in the first round to Washington. Canby, Minnesota
Canby is a city in Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,795 at the 2010 census. History John Swenson, who secured a homestead on section 4 of Norman Township where now stands the City of Canby, was one of the early European settlers in the area. After erecting a claim shanty, for the convenience of his neighbors, he opened a little store in his cabin. In November 1874, he secured the establishment of a post office in that store. At Swenson's suggestion, the post office was named Canby, in honor of Civil War and career officer General Edward Canby of the United States Army. (General Canby had been assassinated the prior year during peace negotiations with the Modoc Tribe of Northern California.) Snohomish High School
Snohomish High School (SHS) is a secondary school located in the Snohomish School District, in Snohomish, Washington, United States. SHS, built for 1200 students, contains 1,689 9th–12th graders (as of 2016–17). The school serves primarily those students living north of the Snohomish River (nearby Glacier Peak High School, serving those students living south of the river). History Before SHS actually opened it was a courthouse with a small jail section underneath. SHS first opened in 1894 at the completion of the original A building. The school underwent many remodels through the 1980s, including changes to the B building. These changes removed the last vestiges of 'old' Snohomish High School, making the building completely modern.
