Mansfield Town F
Mansfield is a market town and the administrative centre of Mansfield District in Nottinghamshire, England. It is the largest town in the wider Mansfield Urban Area (followed by Sutton-in-Ashfield). It gained the Royal Charter of a market town in 1227. The town lies in the Maun Valley, north of Nottingham and near Sutton-in-Ashfield. Most of the 109,000 population live in the town itself (including Mansfield Woodhouse), with Warsop as a secondary centre. Mansfield is the one local authority in Nottinghamshire with a publicly elected mayor. History Roman to Mediaeval Period Settlement dates to the Roman period. Major Hayman Rooke in 1787 discovered a villa between Mansfield Woodhouse and Pleasley; a cache of denarii was found near King's Mill in 1849. Worksop ( ) is a market town in the Bassetlaw District in Nottinghamshire, England. It is located east-south-east of Sheffield, close to Nottinghamshire's borders with South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, on the River Ryton and not far from the northern edge of Sherwood Forest. Alfreton ( ) is a town and civil parish in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, England. The town was formerly a Norman Manor and later an Urban District. The population of the Alfreton parish was 7,971 at the 2011 Census. The villages of Ironville, Riddings, Somercotes and Swanwick were historically part of the Manor and Urban District, and the population including these was 24,476 in 2001. History Alfreton is said to have been founded by King Alfred and to have derived its name from him. Krystian Mitchell Victor Pearce (born 5 January 1990) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for club Kidderminster Harriers and the Barbados national team. Pearce began his football career with Birmingham City, but never played for their first team. Career Born in Barnsley, Rose signed his first professional contract with hometown club Barnsley in March 2011, alongside Jordan Clark. Malvind Singh "Mal" Benning (born 2 November 1993) is an English professional footballer who plays as a left-back for club Shrewsbury Town. He began his career with Walsall and had loan spells with Evesham United and York City.
