2016–17 Charleston Cougars Men's Basketball Team
The 2016–17 College of Charleston Cougars men's basketball team represented the College of Charleston during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cougars were led by third-year head coach Earl Grant and played their home games at the TD Arena as members of the Colonial Athletic Association. They finished the season 25–10, 14–4 in CAA play to finish in second place. They defeated James Madison and Towson to advance to the championship game of the CAA tournament where they lost to UNC Wilmington. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Colorado State. Earl Grant (basketball)
Earl Grant (born December 25, 1976) is an American college basketball coach and the current head coach for the Boston College Eagles men's basketball team. Prior to being named head coach at Boston College, Grant served as head coach at the College of Charleston, as an assistant coach at Clemson University, and an assistant coach for six years under former Charleston assistant coach Gregg Marshall at Wichita State and Winthrop University. Grant also served as an assistant coach at The Citadel. Biography A native of North Charleston, South Carolina, Grant went to R.B. Stall High School. He played college basketball at the NCAA Division II level at Georgia College for two years. He led Georgia College to consecutive Peach Belt Conference championships and the Elite Eight of the 2000 NCAA Tournament. Ocoee High School is a public secondary school located in Ocoee, Florida, 12.5 miles west of Orlando. Starke, stricken with malaria, took a group of slaves, similarly stricken, to the north side of an open pine wooded lake that provided clear and clean water to avoid further malaria outbreaks. Chevez Brandford Goodwin (born February 27, 1998) is an American professional basketball player for the Kolossos Rodou of the Greek Basketball League (GBL). He played college basketball with the USC Trojans of the Pac-12 Conference, as well as for the College of Charleston Cougars and the Wofford Terriers.
