2016 Women's County Championship
The 2016 Women's County One-Day Championship was the 20th cricket Women's County Championship season. The Championship was won by Kent who recorded their seventh championship, setting a new record for the number of championships won. The runners-up were Sussex. This was the last season in which Division 4 was contested. Following a reorganisation of the structure of the tournament, all the teams in Division 4 were promoted to an expanded Division 3 in 2017. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is the Sports governing body, national governing body of cricket in England and Wales. The Devon Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Devon. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Knighthayes Court, Bolham and the County Ground, Exeter. They are captained by Steph Hutchins. The Norfolk Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Norfolk. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, and are captained by Ellie Stanley. In 2019, they played in Division Three of the final season of the Women's County Championship, and have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. The Durham Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Durham. They played their home games at various grounds across the county, including Green Lane Cricket Ground, Durham, County Durham and Park Drive, Hartlepool. The Wales women's cricket team is the Welsh team for women's cricket.
