2016 West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament
The 2016 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the West Coast Conference and was held March 3–8, 2016 at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The winner of the tournament, Gonzaga, received the conference's automatic bid into the 2016 NCAA tournament. Seeds Only 9 of the 10 WCC teams participated in the Tournament due to Pacific's self-imposed postseason ban. As a result, the top 7 teams received a bye into the Quarterfinals. Teams were seeded by record within the conference, with a tiebreaker system to seed teams with identical conference records. Orleans Arena
Orleans Arena is a 9,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Paradise, Nevada, in the Las Vegas Valley. It is located at the Orleans Hotel and Casino and is operated by Coast Casinos, a subsidiary of Boyd Gaming Corporation. The arena is the home to the Vegas Rollers of World TeamTennis since 2019. It is also an occasional home for the UNLV Rebels basketball team when the Thomas & Mack Center is in use. The arena was the home of the Las Vegas Wranglers ice hockey team from 2003 to 2014, the Las Vegas Gladiators arena football team in 2007, as well as the Las Vegas Sin women's football team. 2015–16 Portland Pilots Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Portland Pilots men's basketball team represented the University of Portland during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Pilots, led by tenth-year head coach Eric Reveno, played their home games at the Chiles Center and were members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 12–20, 6–12 in WCC play to finish in a three way tie for seventh place. They lost in the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament to Gonzaga. Casey Jacobsen
Casey Gardner Jacobsen (born March 19, 1981) is an American retired professional basketball player who played four seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also had an extensive European basketball career, mostly while playing with Brose Baskets Bamberg, in Germany. With Brose, he won the Bundesliga championship in 2007 and 2010, while also receiving the German League Finals MVP award. He won Bundesliga championships in 2011, 2012, and 2013. Blaine Fowler is a college football and men's college basketball sports analyst in the Mountain West Conference for NBC Sports Network basketball broadcasts.
