Results Qualifying The fastest 8 teams qualify for the first round. * Q = qualified First round First round heats are held as follows: Heat 1: 4th v 5th qualifier Heat 2: 3rd v 6th qualifier Heat 3: 2nd v 7th qualifier Heat 4: 1st v 8th qualifier The heat winners are ranked on time, from which the top 2 proceed to the gold medal final and the other 2 proceed to the bronze medal final. * QG = qualified for gold medal final * QB = qualified for bronze medal final Finals The final classification is determined in the medal finals. UEC European Champion Jersey
The UEC European Champion jersey is the distinctive, identifiable jersey that the winner of a bicycle race receives at European Cycling Championships organized by the European Cycling Union (UEC), such as the European Road Championships and the European Track Championships. The jersey is predominantly blue with gold European stars. The jerseys are awarded in all cycling disciplines, including road cycling, track cycling, cyclo-cross, BMX, mountain biking and indoor cycling. The jerseys are provided by Santini SMS. From 2016, its design consist of a three-part blue banner behind three yellow stars. Tomáš Bábek (born 4 June 1987) is a Czech track cyclist. He shared the men's sprint title with Adam Ptáčník and Denis Špička at the Czech Track Cycling Championships, and later represented the Czech Republic at the 2008 Summer Olympics. On that same year, Babek also claimed the bronze medal in the 1 km time trial at the European Championships in Pruszków, Poland.
