Lee Valley VeloPark
Lee Valley VeloPark is a cycling centre on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London, England. It is owned and managed by Lee Valley Regional Park Authority, and it was opened to the public in March 2014. The facility was one of the permanent venues for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Lee Valley VeloPark is at the northern end of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It has a velodrome and BMX racing track, which have been used for the Games, as well as a one-mile (1.6 km) road course and 5 miles (8 km) of mountain bike trails. The park replaces the Eastway Cycle Circuit demolished to make way for it. The facilities built for the Olympics were constructed between 2009 and 2011. Olivia Rose Podmore (24 May 1997 – 9 August 2021) was a New Zealand professional cycle sport, racing cyclist. She represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Natasha Hansen (born 15 November 1989) is a New Zealand track cyclist who has represented her country at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Hansen competed at the 2018 Gold Coast games and won two silver medals in the sprint & team sprint, and a bronze in the keirin. Early life Hansen was born in 1989 in Takapuna on Auckland's North Shore and is of Samoan descent. Monique Sullivan (born 21 February 1989) is a Canadian cyclist. She was born in Calgary, Alberta. She competed in keirin at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where she placed sixth.
