2016 Team Bath Netball Season
The 2016 Team Bath netball season saw Team Bath finish third overall in the 2016 Netball Superleague. In the third-place play-off they defeated Hertfordshire Mavericks 49–48 to finish the season as bronze medallists. During the regular season they finished fourth, level on points with Surrey Storm and Hertfordshire Mavericks in second and third place respectively. Manchester Thunder topped the table. Team Bath lost 53–46 at Manchester Thunder in the play-off semi-finals. Squad Preseason ;Team Bath's Tri-Tournament Team Bath hosted and won a Pre-season Tri-Tournament, winning against both Hertfordshire Mavericks and Surrey Storm. ;Mike Greenwood Trophy Team Bath won the Mike Greenwood Trophy, defeating Manchester Thunder 19–14 in the final. 2016 Netball Superleague Season
The 2016 Vitality Netball Superleague season saw Surrey Storm retain the title after defeating Manchester Thunder in the grand final. Thunder finished top of the table following the regular season. The league was sponsored by VitalityHealth. Teams This was Yorkshire Jets final season in the Netball Superleague. In June 2016 England Netball announced that Jets had lost their place in the league. Regular season The opening day of the regular season saw the introduction of ''Super Saturday''. This saw the eight teams play all four Round 1 games at the Genting Arena in front of a 7,500 crowd. During the season Sky Sports broadcast several matches live on Monday nights. Manchester Thunder finished top of the table following the regular season. Celtic Dragons
Celtic Dragons are a Welsh netball team based in Cardiff. Their senior team plays in the Netball Superleague. In 2005–06 they were founder members of the league. Their best performance in the Superleague came in 2013 when they finished as runners up to Team Bath. Playing as Celtic Flames, Dragons also played in the 2017 Netball New Zealand Super Club. Celtic Dragons main partners include the Welsh Netball Association, the Wales national netball team and Cardiff Metropolitan University. The 2016 Surrey Storm season saw them retain the Netball Superleague title after defeating Manchester Thunder in the grand final. During the regular season they finish second behind Thunder. Copper Box Arena
The Copper Box Arena is a multi-sport venue built for the 2012 Summer Olympics, located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, England. Previously known as the Handball Arena, it was renamed because, aside from handball, it hosted modern pentathlon (fencing, shooting, swimming, horse jumping and running) during the Olympics and was the goalball venue for the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Eleanor Cardwell
Eleanor 'Ellie' Cardwell is an English international netball player. She plays in goal attack and goal shooter for England, and at the club level represents Manchester Thunder in the Netball Superleague. Cardwell was born in Blackpool, joininBlackpool Netball Clubat the age of 10.
