The 2016 Swedish Golf Tour, titled as the 2016 Nordea Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 33rd season of the Swedish Golf Tour, the main professional golf tour in Sweden since it was formed in 1984, with most tournaments being incorporated into the Nordic Golf League since 1999. Mark Haastrup
Mark Flindt Haastrup (born 16 April 1984) is a Danish professional golfer. Haastrup was born in Højby. He attended Georgia State University for two years before turning professional in 2007. He claimed his maiden professional victory on the second tier Challenge Tour the following year, and finished a consistent 2009 season by gaining his card for the top level European Tour at qualifying school. In his first full season on the European Tour he finished at 117 on the Race to Dubai list, and got a medical exemption card for 2011 because of a broken wrist. The following years he struggled to get back on the European Tour. In 2016 he won four tournaments on the Nordic Golf League and finished first on the Order of Merit, which gave him a full card back on the Challenge Tour. The Swedish Golf Tour Final, currently titled as The No. 1 Tour Final in Golf, is a golf tournament played as the season-ending championship of the Swedish Golf Tour. The Tour Final was introduced in the 2005 season, succeeding the Telia Grand Prix, a Challenge Tour event that had served as the season ending event for most years since 1996. The Swedish Golf Tour (women) had played the Telia Ladies Finale since 1997. Oscar Lengdén (born 12 May 1992) is a Swedish professional golfer. Lengdén spent four years and won two NCAA Division titles at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale before he returned to Europe and turned professional in 2015. Competing in his native Sweden he won four times in six weeks to earn his place on the Nordic Golf League, where he won twice. He finished third on the 2016 Nordic Golf League ranking to become a Challenge Tour rookie in 2017. Lengdén made it to the final qualifying stage at the European Tour Qualifying School in 2016 but failed by one stroke to earn a European Tour card.
