2016 Red Bull Ring GP3 Series Round
The 2016 Red Bull Ring GP3 Series round was a GP3 Series motor race held on 2 and 3 July 2016 at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. It was the second round of the 2016 GP3 Series. The race weekend supported the 2016 Austrian Grand Prix. Background Before the weekend commenced, Mahaveer Raghunathan announced that he would call time on his GP3 campaign to focus on his efforts in Auto GP. In the weekend's only practice session, Giuliano Alesi withdrew from the weekend after an accident which saw him unfit to complete the rest of the weekend. Classification Qualifying It was a dominant session for the ART Grand Prix outfit with the top-three being Charles Leclerc, Alexander Albon and Nyck de Vries. Red Bull Ring
The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Parts of the circuit, including the pits and main grandstand, were demolished, but construction work was stopped and the circuit remained unusable for several years before it was purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt. Matthew Parry (born 14 January 1994) is a British racing driver. Career Karting Born in Cardiff, Parry entered karting in 2006, when he finished second in the Hoddesdon Kart Club Championship Minimax. His biggest success was in the last year of his karting career, winning the Super 1 National Rotax Max Junior championship in 2010. Formula Ford & InterSteps In 2011 Parry made his début in single-seaters, taking part in the British Formula Ford Championship with Fluid Motorsport. He finished eighth with eighteen point-scoring finishes in 24 races. For 2012, he decided to switch to the InterSteps championship for Fortec Motorsports. Álex Palou
Álex Palou Montalbo (; born 1 April 1997) is a Spanish racing driver who drives for Chip Ganassi Racing in the IndyCar Series, where he won the 2021 series championship. Matevos "Matos" Isaakyan (russian: Матевос "Матос" Исаакян; born 17 April 1998) is a Russian racing driver. He is a current member of the SMP Racing driver programme. Career Karting Born in Moscow, Isaakyan began karting in his native Russia in 2010, finishing fifth in the Russian Super Mini Championship. The following year he stepped up to the Russian KF3 Championship, finishing seventh, before placing fifth in the same category in 2012. Jack Aitken (Korean: 한세용, ''Han Se-yong''; born 23 September 1995 in London) is a British- South Korean racing driver who currently competes for Racing Team Turkey in the European Le Mans Series and for Emil Frey Racing in the ADAC GT Masters and the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. Artur Janosz (born 16 June 1993) is a Polish racing driver. Career Karting Born on 16 June 1993 in Pszczyna, Janosz began karting in 2010 in the local Senior category of the Rotax International Open, in which he became 24th. This is the only registered karting championship in which he competed. Euroformula Open Janosz graduated to the European F3 Open Championship, with Campos Racing, in 2013. He finished in the points three times: in the second race in Spa-Francorchamps and both races in Monza. He became 13th in the championship with 16 points. Tatiana Calderón Noguera (born 10 March 1993) is a Colombian racing driver who currently drives the No. 11 Dallara-Chevrolet car part-time for A. J. Foyt Enterprises in the 2022 IndyCar Series. Arden International is a multiple formula racing team created and run by Christian Horner and Garry Horner.
