The 2016 Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship of Prince Edward Island, was held from January 15 to 18 at the Montague Curling Club in Montague, Prince Edward Island. The winning Suzanne Birt rink represented Prince Edward Island at the 2016 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Montague, Prince Edward Island
Montague is a community within the Town of Three Rivers in Kings County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. Previously incorporated as a town, it amalgamated with the Town of Georgetown, the rural municipalities of Brudenell, Cardigan, Lorne Valley, Lower Montague, and Valleyfield, and portions of three adjacent unincorporated areas in 2018. Sarah Fullerton (born March 8, 1991) is a Canadian curler from Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. Career Junior career Sarah Fullerton has been a rising star on the curling scene in Prince Edward Island. In 2003, she captured the P.E.I 11 and under title. She would also win the 15 and under title in 2006, and between 2006 and 2009 she would capture the 17 and under title three times. In 2010, Fullerton represented Prince Edward Island at the 2010 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where her team would finish with a 6–6 record. She would return in 2011 and finish with a 7–5 record. Rebecca Jean MacDonald (born Rebecca Jean MacPhee on March 25, 1974, in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) is a Canadian curler from Stratford, Prince Edward Island. Career Juniors MacDonald made her first appearance on the curling scene as a skip at the 1991 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, when she would win the Prince Edward Island Junior Curling Championship. She would not find success at the National level, only finishing round robin with a 4–7 record. She would win the provincial championship again in 1992. This time her team would finish round robin with a 7–4 record at the 1992 Canadian Juniors, which was enough to secure a tiebreaker. Her team would lose the tiebreaker to Ontario. 1995–1999 MacDonald would find herself on the national scene again in 1995. Gael Greene (December 22, 1933 – November 1, 2022) was an American restaurant critic, author, and novelist. She became ''New York'' magazine's restaurant critic in fall 1968, at a time when most New Yorkers were unsophisticated about food and there were few chefs anyone knew by name, and for four decades both documented and inspired the city's and America's growing obsession with food.
