John Cohen (baseball)
John Cohen (born September 21, 1966) is the 16th athletic director for the Auburn University Tigers. He is former head baseball coach of Mississippi State University, where he also served as the athletic director from 2016 to 2022. He played college baseball at Mississippi State (1988–1990) after spending a single season at Birmingham-Southern College in Alabama (1986). He also played on the 1990 College World Series team his senior year at Mississippi State. He then spent two years in the Minnesota Twins farm system (1990–1991). He served as an assistant coach at the University of Missouri from 1992 to 97 before becoming head coach at Northwestern State University from 1998 to 2001, where he won two conference championships. Matthew Edward Krook (born October 21, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees of Major League Baseball (MLB). A native of Hillsborough, California, Krook pitched for the Oregon Ducks and was drafted by the Miami Marlins in the first round of the 2013 MLB draft and the San Francisco Giants in the fourth round of the 2016 MLB draft. Cole R. Irvin (born January 31, 1994), nicknamed "Swirvin Irvin", is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). Irvin was drafted by the Philadelphia Phillies in the fifth round of the 2016 MLB draft, and made his major league debut for them in 2019. Early life and amateur career Irvin is from Yorba Linda, California. He graduated from Servite High School in Anaheim, California. As a junior, he posted a 1.40 ERA. Jackie Robinson Stadium is a college baseball park in Los Angeles, California. It is the home field of the UCLA Bruins of the Pac-12 Conference. Opened in 1981, it is the smallest ballpark in the conference, with a seating capacity of 1,820. Wes Johnson (baseball)
Wes Johnson (born September 9, 1971) is an American baseball coach. He is the head coach for the Georgia Bulldogs. Career Johnson is from Sherwood, Arkansas. He graduated from Sylvan Hills High School in Sherwood and from the University of Arkansas at Monticello in 1994 after playing baseball there for two years. Johnson began his coaching career as an assistant at Sylvan Hills and Arkansas Baptist High School before landing the head coaching job and winning a state championship at Abundant Life School in Sherwood.
