2016 BRDC British Formula 3 Championship
The 2016 BRDC British F3 Championship is a motor racing championship for open wheel, formula racing cars held across England and, for the first time, Belgium. The 2016 season will be the first one under the BRDC British F3 denomination. The championship features professional motor racing teams, and will also feature the debut of the new 2-litre 230-bhp Tatuus-Cosworth single seat race car in the main series, a car that was first used in the 2015 BRDC Formula 4 Autumn Trophy. The season will begin at Snetterton 300 on 27 March and will end on 11 September at Donington Park, after eight triple header events for a total of twenty-four races. 2016–17 Formula 4 South East Asia Championship
The 2016–17 Formula 4 South East Asia Championship season was the inaugural season of the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship. It began on 5 August at the Sepang International Circuit and finished on 22 January 2017 at the same venue, after 36 races held across six rounds. The championship was won by Presley Martono. Drivers Race calendar and results An updated race calendar was released on 1 June 2016, which cancelled the round at Kuala Lumpur City Grand Prix. An updated race calendar was released on 28 June 2016, which cancelled the round at Penbay International Circuit. After the previously scheduled second round in support of the Sepang 1000 km was cancelled, a new revised calendar was released by Formula 4 SEA through their Facebook website, which expanded the calendar to 36 races to be held until January 2017 and added rounds in both the Philippines and Indonesia. 2016 Formula 4 United States Championship
The 2016 Formula 4 United States Championship season was the inaugural season of the United States Formula 4 Championship, a motor racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations and sanctioned by SCCA Pro Racing, the professional racing division of the Sports Car Club of America. It began on 2 July at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and finished on 10 October at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, after five triple header rounds. Teams and drivers All teams were American-registered. 2016 F4 Spanish Championship
The 2016 F4 Spanish Championship was the inaugural season of the Spanish F4 Championship, a motor racing series regulated according to FIA Formula 4 regulations, taking place in Spain and Portugal. The championship featured drivers competing in 1.4 litre Tatuus-Abarth single seat race cars that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. The series was organised by Koiranen GP and RFEDA. It began on 11 June at the Circuito de Navarra and finished on 16 October at the Circuito del Jarama after 20 races held across seven rounds. MP Motorsport driver Richard Verschoor dominated the season and sealed the title after taking hat-trick at Jarama. While his team won the teams' championship. 2016 TCR Benelux Touring Car Championship
The 2016 TCR Benelux Touring Car Championship is the first season of the TCR Benelux Touring Car Championship. The season started on 21 May at Spa-Francorchamps and ended on 30 October at Mettet. Teams and drivers Michelin is the official tyre supplier. ;Notes: Calendar and results The 2016 schedule consists in six rounds in the Benelux region, across Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg. Each round includes five races: a 60-minute-long qualifying race with a mandatory driver change, and four 20-minute-long sprint races. Automobile Club De L'Ouest
The Automobile Club de l'Ouest (English: Automobile Club of the West), sometimes abbreviated to ACO, is the largest automotive group in France. It was founded in 1906 by car building and racing enthusiasts, and is most famous for being the organising entity behind the annual Le Mans 24 Hours race. The 2016 GT3 Le Mans Cup, known as the 2016 Michelin GT3 Le Mans Cup under sponsorship, was the inaugural season of the GT3 Le Mans Cup. 2016 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship
The 2016 ADAC TCR Germany Touring Car Championship was the first season of touring car racing to be run by the German-based sanctioning body ADAC to newly created TCR regulations. The series ran predominantly in ADAC's home nation Germany. As a support category to the ADAC GT Masters series, the championship also took in races in the neighbouring nations of Austria and the Netherlands.
