ISSF World Cup
The ISSF World Cup was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 1986 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic shooting competitions. It still is carried out in the Olympic shooting events, with four competitions per year in each event. For the best shooters there is since 1988 a ''World Cup Final''. World Cup Final The World Cup Final in rifle and pistol is often, but not always, held in Munich as the ISSF shooting season ending competition. The location and date of the World Cup Final in shotgun are more flexible. To the Final, the following shooters are qualified: * The defending Olympic, World, ISSF World Cup Final champions. * Silver and bronze medalists of either the last Olympic or the World Championship, whichever competition that was most recently held. * The eight shooters that have made the best performances at the World Cup competitions during the year. Stevan Pletikosić
Stevan Pletikosić ( sr-cyrl, Стеван Плетикосић) (born 14 March 1972 in Kragujevac, Serbia, then SFR Yugoslavia) is a sport shooter from Serbia. While still a junior, he won a bronze medal in Men's 50 m Rifle Prone in the 1992 Summer Olympics. The year before, at the 1991 ISSF World Cup in the same event, he had become the only junior ever to achieve the maximum score of 600 in a world-class competition. Pletikosić started competing in 1982, when he was 10 years old. He won a first medal at the European Championships winning a silver at the 1989 European Shooting Championships in Zagreb, SFR Yugoslavia. During his career, he won another European silver medal and was European champion twice. His first international medal was won at the 1994 ISSF World Shooting Championships, which was also a silver medal. Yugoslav Olympic Committee proclaimed him sportsman of the year in 1994. Michael McPhail (born December 15, 1981) is an American rifle shooter. He won a gold medal in the 50 metre rifle prone event at the 2011 Pan American Games. Sergey Rikhter ( he, סרגיי ריכטר; russian: Серге́й Рихтер; born 23 April 1989) is a USSR-born Israeli Olympic sport shooter. He shares the junior world record in the 10 metre air rifle, and was the 2009 ISSF World Cup champion. He competed on behalf of Israel at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and for Israel at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He won the gold medal in the 2013 European Championship and was named European Champion at 10 m. He won a bronze medal at the 2015 European Games for Israel, and the gold medal at the 2019 European Games for Israel in the Men's 10m Air Rifle. Kenneth Parr (born 3 October 1988) is a male British sport shooter who has medalled at three Commonwealth Games. In 2016 he won a silver medal at the ISSF World Cup in Baku. Sport shooting career In 2006 Parr was selected to represent Great Britain at the World Championships in Zagreb. Teammate Matthew Thomson became junior world champion in the 50m prone rifle event, and together with Richard Philips, the three won the junior men's team event.
