2016 BC Lions Season
The 2016 BC Lions season was the 59th season for the team in the Canadian Football League and their 63rd overall. The Lions finished in 2nd place in the West Division and finished with a 12–6 record. It was only the third time in franchise history that the Lions had finished in second place, and the first time they have done so since 1986. In each of those three years, the Lions hosted and defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the West Semi-Final. This was the team's second stint under now tenth-year head coach, Wally Buono, and his 14th season as the general manager. Buono took over the position following Jeff Tedford's resignation on December 2, 2015. Canadian Football League West Division
The West Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League (CFL), its counterpart being the East Division (CFL), East Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the West Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The five teams in the West Division are the BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Elks, Saskatchewan Roughriders, and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Pascal Lochard (born September 17, 1990) is a Canadian football running back for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was drafted by the BC Lions in the second round of the 2014 CFL Draft. He played CIS football at Laval University. He has also been a member of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Ottawa Redblacks. College career Lochard was named the most valuable player of the 49th Vanier Cup, winning the Ted Morris Memorial Trophy. The Jacksonville Jaguars are a professional American football team based in Jacksonville, Florida. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Alex Hoffman-Ellis (born August 14, 1989) is a former American professional Canadian football linebacker. After playing college football for the Washington State Cougars, he was signed in 2012 by the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League as an undrafted free agent.
