2015–16 Women's CEV Cup
The 2015–16 Women's CEV Cup was the 44th edition of the European CEV Cup volleyball club tournament, the former "Top Teams Cup". Participating teams The number of participants on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions. The list shows the participating teams at the start of the competition, four more teams joined later during the Challenge phase. Women's CEV Cup
The Women's CEV Cup, formerly known as CEV Cup Winners' Cup (from 1972 to 2000) and CEV Top Teams Cup (from 2000 to 2007), is the second-top official competition for women's volleyball clubs of Europe and takes place every year. It is organized by the Confédération Européenne de Volleyball (CEV) and was created in 1972 as . Hämeenlinnan Pallokerho (HPK) is a professional ice hockey team in the Liiga, the top men's ice hockey league in Finland. Their home ice is the Ritari-areena in Hämeenlinna. HPK was established in 1929. The parent club of the team is HPK Edustusjääkiekko ry and the team is sometimes promoted as the "Hockey Playing Knights," with a logo representing a knight's helmet. Hermes Volley Oostende is a volleyball team based in Ostend (Oostende), Belgium. The club was founded in 1955, but consisted only of one men's team until 1963, when also a women's team was erected. The women's A squad currently plays at the highest level of Belgian volleyball, Ere Divisie. They have also achieved a spot in the 2011-12 Challenge Cup with their performances of the past season, they were third in the Belgian playoffs. Hermes Oostende also has a B squad in the first national league, the 2nd tier of the Belgian volleyball league pyramid. The C, D and E team play in lower provincial leagues. VDK Gent Damesvolleybalteam is a volleyball team from Ghent, Belgium. VDK Gent-Heusden was founded in 1990, after a merger between VDK Wondelgem, Nova Smash Sint-Amandsberg and VBK Heusden.
