2015–16 Oregon State Beavers Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Oregon State Beavers men's basketball team represented Oregon State University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Beavers were led by second-year head coach Wayne Tinkle, and played their home games at Gill Coliseum in Corvallis, Oregon as members of the Pac-12 Conference. The Beavers finished the season 19–13, 9–9 in Pac-12 play to finish in a three-way tie for sixth place. They defeated Arizona State in the first round of the Pac-12 tournament before losing to California in the quarterfinals. OSU received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 7 seed in the West Region, marking the Beavers' first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1990. Wayne Tinkle
Wayne Francis Tinkle II (born January 26, 1966) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Oregon State Beavers men's team of the Pac-12 Conference. Prior to his arrival in Corvallis in 2014, he was the head coach for eight seasons in the Big Sky Conference at his alma mater, Montana, preceded by five years with the Griz as an assistant coach. Tinkle played professionally for twelve seasons until 2000, including stints in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) and International Basketball League (IBL) and in Sweden, Spain, Italy, and Greece. Tres Tinkle (born June 3, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Monbus Obradoiro of the Spanish Liga ACB. He played college basketball for the Oregon State Beavers.
