2015–16 Nebraska Cornhuskers Men's Basketball Team
The 2015–16 Nebraska Cornhuskers men's basketball team represented the University of Nebraska in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by head coach Tim Miles in his fourth season, the Cornhuskers played their home games at Pinnacle Bank Arena in downtown Lincoln, Nebraska and were members of the Big Ten Conference. They finished the season 16–18, 6–12 in Big Ten play to finish in 11th place. In the Big Ten tournament they defeated Rutgers and Wisconsin to advance to the quarterfinals where they lost to Maryland. Previous season The Cornhuskers finished the 2014–15 Season 13–18, 5–13 in Big Ten play to finish in twelfth place. They lost in the first round of the Big Ten tournament to Penn State. Tim Miles
Timothy Sean Miles (born August 20, 1966) is an American college basketball coach who is the current head coach of the San Jose State Spartans men's basketball team. Miles previously served as the head coach of North Dakota State University, Colorado State University and the University of Nebraska. Miles is a graduate of the University of Mary. Coaching career Early career Following his playing career at the University of Mary, Miles spent five seasons as an assistant coach at Northern State University, where the Wolves went to four NAIA II national tournaments and two national championship games. In 1995, Miles left to accept his first head coaching job at NAIA II Mayville State. In both his seasons at Mayville State, Miles led the Comets to NDCAC Championships and the NAIA II National Tournament. Louisville Cardinals Men's Basketball
The Louisville Cardinals men's basketball team is the men's college basketball program representing the University of Louisville (U of L) in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) of NCAA Division I. Walter Pitchford
Walter Pitchford V (born April 24, 1992) is an American basketball player. He played college basketball for Florida and Nebraska before joining Raptors 905 of the NBA Development League in 2015. College career Pitchford initially played college basketball for the Florida Gators, but transferred to Nebraska in 2012. As a junior playing for the Cornhuskers in 2014–15, he averaged 7.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in 30 games. Professional career On April 2, 2015, Pitchford declared for the 2015 NBA draft, forgoing his final year of college eligibility. However, on June 15, he withdrew his name from the draft, deciding instead to play overseas. Duquesne Dukes Men's Basketball
The Duquesne Dukes represent Duquesne University in college basketball. The team, which started in 1914, has only ever played in NCAA Division I and has had five appearances in the NCAA Tournament. The Dukes play in the Atlantic 10 Conference, of which they have been members since 1976 (minus the 1992–93 season in which the Dukes were single-season members of the Midwestern Collegiate Conference).
