The 2015–16 season was Manchester City Football Club's 114th season of competitive football, 87th season in the top flight of English football and 19th season in the Premier League. Along with the league, the club also competed in the UEFA Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup. The season covered the period from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016. In Manuel Pellegrini's final season at City, the club achieved some prominent milestones. On 28 February 2016, the Blues won the League Cup after beating Liverpool on penalties in the final at Wembley.
