The 2015–16 Long Beach State 49ers men's basketball team represented California State University, Long Beach during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Dan Monson
Daniel Lloyd Monson (born October 6, 1961) is an American college basketball coach serving as the head coach at Long Beach State since April 2007. Previously he was head coach at Minnesota for over seven seasons (1999–2006), reaching postseason play five times. Before coaching the Gophers, he was the head coach at Gonzaga for two seasons, leading the Zags on an improbable run to the Elite Eight during his last season. Early years Monson is the son of college basketball coach Don Monson, and spent most of his early years in eastern Washington, where his father was a successful high school head coach in Cheney and Pasco for 18 seasons. At age 14, the family moved from Pasco to East Lansing, Michigan, where Don was an assistant coach for Jud Heathcote at Michigan State for two seasons. Nick Faust
Nicholas David Jordan Faust (born February 25, 1993) is an American professional basketball player playing for Amartha Hangtuah of the Indonesian Basketball League (IBL). He played college basketball for Maryland and Long Beach State. College career He played three seasons for the University of Maryland. In his first season he was named to the All-Freshman Team of the Atlantic Coast Conference. He averaged 9.4 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2 assists per game as a junior and spent the latter half of the season as a bench player. In 2014 he transferred to Long Beach State after originally committing to Oregon State, and sat out a redshirt year per NCAA regulations. The 2015–16 BYU Cougars men's basketball team represents Brigham Young University in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. It is head coach Dave Rose's eleventh season at BYU and the Cougars fifth season in the West Coast Conference. The Cougars once again play their home games at the Marriott Center. BYU–Hawaii Seasiders Men's Basketball
The BYU–Hawaii Seasiders men's basketball team represented Brigham Young University–Hawaii in NCAA Division II college basketball play. The team attended 6 NAIA Tournaments and 11 NCAA D2 Tournaments. The Seasiders participated as members of the Pacific West Conference. History BYU-Hawaii fielded its first collegiate basketball team in 1978. As members of the NAIA, they were able to develop early rivalries with fellow state schools Chaminade University of Honolulu, Hawaii Pacific University, and University of Hawaii at Hilo. Justin Bibbins (born January 23, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Dinamo Sassari of the Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). He played college basketball for Long Beach State and Utah. College career Bibbins was recruited by Utah out of high school, but the Utes did not have a scholarship available for him by the time he was to join the squad. Instead, Bibbins enrolled at Long Beach State and was twice named All-Conference. He averaged 13.1 points and 4.6 assists per game as a junior. After graduating from Long Beach State, Bibbins decided to transfer to Utah for his final season of eligibility. He was named team captain despite being new to the program.
