2015–16 Honduran Cup
The 2015–16 Honduran Cup was the 11th staging of the Honduran Cup and the second edition as Copa Presidente. Olimpia were the defending champions. The cup was a creation of the Honduran government funded by money allocated to national security fund. Its purpose was to support the growth of sport to detract the youth from vices and to promote national tourism for rural towns. The cup was contested by 64 teams from the top 3 divisions of the country. There was a total of 10 teams from Liga Nacional (1st division), 27 from Liga de Ascenso (2nd division) and 27 from Liga Mayor (3rd division). It was the first time in which the tournament covered two calendar years. Juticalpa F.C. obtained its first title after defeating Real C.D. España in the final match. Honduran Cup
The Honduran Cup was the top knock-out Association football, football tournament in Honduras. The first tournament was played in 1968 Honduran Cup, 1968, four years later the second tournament took the name ''Copa Presidente'' ( en, President's Cup) in honor of Dr. Ramón Ernesto Cruz Uclés, Ramón Cruz; later, General Oswaldo López Arellano, Oswaldo López changed the name and called it ''Copa Jefe de Estado'' ( en, Head of State Cup). Twenty years later the third tournament was played. From 1992 to 1994, the Cup tournament was played as a separate tournament from the league (played from June to August). From 1995 to 1999, the winner of the first stage of the league tournament was declared Cup champions. In 2015, the tournament was yet again re-launched and re-branded as ''Copa Presidente''. Marlon Ramírez
Marlon Ramirez (born 17 April 1994) is a Honduran footballer. Besides Honduras, he has played in Egypt and the United States. Career Ramirez started his senior career with C.D.S. Vida. Atlético Olanchano
Atlético Olanchano was a Honduran football club based in Catacamas, Olancho. The club last played in the Honduran second division. History Campamento Atlético Olanchano was founded as ''Campamento'' in 1974 and originally played their games in Campamento, Olancho. The team later moved to Catacamas and so the name was remodified to ''Juventud Catacamas''. Copán Department
Copán is one of the departments in the western part of Honduras. The departmental capital is the town of Santa Rosa de Copán. The department is well known for its tobacco and fine cigars. The department is famous for its Pre-Columbian archaeological site at Copán, one of the greatest cities of the Maya civilization. Allan Moisés Lalín Pérez (born January 5, 1981) is a Honduran footballer who plays for Platense F.C. in the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional de Honduras as a forward.
