2015 Men's European Volleyball Championship
The 2015 Men's European Volleyball Championship was the 29th edition of the Men's European Volleyball Championship, organised by Europe's governing volleyball body, the CEV. It was held in Bulgaria and Italy from 9 to 18 October 2015. For the first time the competition had an official song; "Heroes" featuring vocals by Niki Bakalov. France won their first title in the tournament by defeating Slovenia, which went to the final for the first time, in straight sets. Antonin Rouzier was elected the Most Valuable Player. Pieter Verhees
Pieter Verhees (born 8 December 1989) is a Belgian volleyball player, member of the Belgium men's national volleyball team, participant of the 2014 World Championship. On club level he plays for Greenyard Maaseik. Personal life Pieter Verhees was born in Lommel and raised in Overpelt, Belgium. In his youth he played basketball, football, karate, etc. but eventually moved to the class with volleyball. Pieter has three younger brothers. He plays on the position of middle blocker. Verhees swapped for the season of 2011–2012, the volleyball team Euphony Asse-Lennik for Noliko Maaseik. After playing there for one year he relocated to Italy to play in Top Volley Latina for 2 years. After this he went to Pallavolo Modena where he won the Italian cup and ended 2nd in competition. WithU Volley Verona is a professional volleyball team based in Verona, Italy. The club plays in Serie A1 of the Italian Volleyball League. History The company API Volleyball Verona Ltd. was founded in June 2001 when two prominent volleyball companies in Verona, API Volleyball and Volleyball Verona Isola della Scala, merged.
